Secure Booking

Pay a R99 booking fee online through our secure gateway. Your details are protected, and the remaining balance is paid at the service centre once the work is complete.

Bank-grade protection

All online payments are processed by our PCI DSS–compliant payment partners over encrypted connections (TLS). MainBay never sees or stores your card number.

Strong customer authentication

Where supported by your bank, we use 3-D Secure (one-time passcode/approval) to prevent unauthorised use of your card.

What you pay now vs later

You pay only the R99 booking fee now to secure your slot. The fee is refundable if cancelled at least 24 hours before your booking, as per our Terms. The remaining balance is settled directly with the service centre after the job is complete.

Receipts and records

You’ll receive an instant email confirmation from MainBay with your booking reference. The service centre issues the final invoice for the balance on completion.

Fraud checks & monitoring

We combine automated checks with manual review. If anything looks suspicious, we block the charge and notify you.

FAQ

Which cards can I use?

We accept major debit/credit cards (availability may vary by bank and region). If a card fails 3-D Secure, try another card or contact your bank.

Will I ever be charged more online than the booking fee?

 No. Online you only pay the booking fee. If the vehicle needs extra work, the service centre will contact you first with a quote and only proceed after your approval.

Is the booking fee refundable?

 The booking fee is non-refundable (it reserves workshop time and parts). You can usually reschedule—see our Terms for details.

What name appears on my bank statement?

You’ll see MainBay (Pty) Ltd or our payment partner listed.

My bank declined the payment / 3-D Secure failed—what now?

Double-check your OTP/approval, try again, or use another card. If problems persist, contact your bank; your slot is secured only once payment succeeds.

Do you store my card details?

No. Card data is handled by our payment partner. MainBay stores only booking information necessary to manage your appointment. See our Privacy Policy for more.
